“We love Shih-Tzus but it is difficult to find a good breeder without traveling half way across the country. We have two older Shih Tzus, 14 and 17 and had been looking to locate a good breeder for when the time comes. When we meet Tamera here in Taos we were so happy to see all her wonderful dogs that we couldn’t resist getting a 8 week old puppy who we named Teo. He was very healthy and had all the veterinary attention, from vaccines to a chip that a puppy should have for a healthy life. He had a lot more energy than our other two dogs so we thought with 3 dogs, what’s one more. So when Teo was a year old we went back to Tamara to get a companion his own age. She had a female who was a few days younger than Teo so we brought Ava into our family. Now we have a perfect balance in our home. It is amazing how Teo being the alpha male in a pack of females looks after all the others in so many ways. Both of the Shih Tzus we got from Tamara are so smart, healthy and loving that they are the joy of our life now.”

“I had the pleasure of adopting my Shizh-Tzu Carlitos, from Tamara 3 years ago. Or should I say he adopted me ? Since he seems to be the one to have chosen me ! He came to me a healthy happy boy and I was pleasantly surprised to have been able to meet his “biological” parents who were friendly and happy as well. Tamara kept in constant communication with me once I decided I was going to take him . Any and all questions were always answered in a timely manner. Once it was time to bring him home it was beautiful that Carlitos was able to spend a short time with his mama before coming to his forever home with me. I loved that Tamara had done that , as I feel Carlitos was given a chance to have one last time with his family and it helped him transition into my home .
